How to play Word Recall

Bring your attention to one round of Word Recall. Identify new and previously seen words before losing three lives. Look at what changes after your first action. Make your first input carefully and watch the result. Check the relevant rule before repeating a move.

Included vocabulary and random repeats; a game, not a medical memory assessment.

A useful comparison

Compare the worked example with your own position. Use the reasoning, not an answer copied from a different board. Refer to the controls when needed.

Your goal

Identify new and previously seen words before losing three lives. Use the instructions to see which actions move you towards it. Check the rules when you are unsure.

Step by step

  1. Read each displayed word.
  2. Choose New word or Seen before.
  3. Remember words from this round only.
  4. Three mistakes end the round.

Controls

Click or tap one of the two answer buttons. On a smaller screen, keep the active part of the board within view. Contact us with the game and device if a control does not respond.

A useful example

PLANT seen earlier in the same round requires Seen before. Apply the same reasoning to the position in your own round. Keep the game’s format in mind.

Watch out for this

A word from an earlier round does not count as seen now. Read the feedback to see why an action did not have the expected result. Compare the worked example with your own position. Use the reasoning, not an answer copied from a different board.
