How to play Pyramid Solitaire

Try Pyramid Solitaire at your own pace and keep its objective in view. Remove all 28 pyramid cards. Check the relevant rule before repeating a move. Begin with the solo mode shown on the page. Use the example below to understand a decision.

Pyramid, stock and waste; one stock recycle. Free solo play, no wagering.

Focus on one rule

Choose one rule to keep in mind for this round. Apply it consistently rather than guessing what another version might allow. Make the next step deliberately.

Your goal

Remove all 28 pyramid cards. The feedback beside the game helps you follow the round. Notice how the game responds to your input.

Step by step

  1. Only uncovered cards are selectable. Pairs total 13; a king removes alone.
  2. Click an exposed card or eligible pair to remove it.
  3. Draw when useful.
  4. Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.

Controls

Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. On a smaller screen, keep the active part of the board within view. Contact us with the game and device if a control does not respond.

A useful example

An exposed queen pairs with an ace; a jack pairs with a 2. Use the example as a guide rather than a substitute for reading your board. Check the stated objective.

Watch out for this

Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. Read the feedback to see why an action did not have the expected result. Compare the worked example with your own position. Use the reasoning, not an answer copied from a different board.
